NANA'S HARVEST FAQ
What makes your coconut water special?
We didn’t invent coconut water we just refused to compromise it.
You’ve probably had coconut water before: boxed, shelf-stable, labeled “100% pure.”
Most of the coconut water used in shelf-stable products comes from mature coconuts, which are primarily grown for coconut milk production, not for drinking. The water inside mature coconuts naturally tastes very different from the young coconuts people enjoy fresh in Thailand, Vietnam, or Indonesia.
In many producing countries, the water from mature coconuts is not commonly consumed because it can be less sweet, less aromatic, and less refreshing than the water from young drinking coconuts. This is why the fresh drinking experience and the shelf-stable experience often taste worlds apart.
If mature-coconut water naturally tasted like young coconut water, you would see those coconuts sold in the produce aisle for drinking, but they simply serve a different agricultural purpose.
At Nana’s Harvest, we start with what matters:
The right coconut.
We use only young Nam Hom coconuts, a rare aromatic variety grown specifically for its water. The meat is soft and fragrant, but it’s not suitable for producing coconut milk these coconuts exist for one reason: their water.
Nam Hom coconuts thrive only in two small regions of Thailand:
Damnoen Saduak and Ban Phaeo areas known for fertile soil and a long tradition of coconut farming. These regions are widely recognized in the industry for producing some of the most aromatic and naturally sweet coconut water in the world.
We harvest exclusively from this region, and we sell the Nam Hom coconut as a fresh fruit in the produce section. Easy to open. Naturally fragrant. A drinking coconut in its purest form.
After years of seeing consumers compare fresh Nam Hom coconut water to shelf-stable alternatives made from mature coconuts or processed through heat treatments, we realized something: people deserve the option to taste the real thing even when they can’t open a coconut themselves.
So, we started bottling our own:
- No sugar.
- No additives.
- No flavoring.
- No shortcuts.
Just cold, fresh, honest coconut water straight from our farms in Thailand.
And yes, we still sell the whole fruit.
Because when you grow the real thing, there’s nothing to hide.
We proudly show the whole coconut.
Why does the color vary from pink to clear?
Our water can appear clear, light pink, or blush pink depending on the season and natural oxidation. That rosy hue is simply nature doing her thing a natural reaction of polyphenols.
We don’t bleach, decolorize, or over-process the water. Natural color variation is normal.
Where do you source your coconuts from?
We harvest only from Damnoen Saduak and Ban Phaeo two small regions in Thailand with the perfect soil and sunlight for Nam Hom coconuts to thrive.
They’re sacred to us hand-grown, hand-picked, and naturally sweet beyond belief.
Why does Nana's Harvest coconut water need to be refrigerated?
Because it’s real.
We bottle cold, clean, and gentle preserving every drop as nature made it.
Think of it like cold-pressed juice or farm-fresh milk: it stays alive because we don’t kill what makes it good.
Why glass bottles?
Because when you love something, you protect it.
Plastic leaches, boxes hide plastic linings glass doesn’t.
It’s clean, honest, recyclable, reusable, and better for both you and the planet.
It costs more, but it’s worth it.
Why is Nana's Harvest priced higher?
Because it’s the real thing.
